Nagex – Nagios Intranet Dashboard

Nagex – Nagios Intranet Dashboard

Nagex is a Nagios intranet dashboard project driven by event handlers which feeds data to a MySQL database. The PHP script pulls the data for your internal/external company users to view infrastructure status information without giving them access to the CGI interface. This project can be easily integrated inside of your existing intranet using a PHP include or iframe for a custom look and feel since it does not have navigation or links. It utilizes the $HOSTALIAS$ so users do not see internal … [Read more...]

EC2 AMI Sysprep IIS 7.5 SSL Certificate Error 0x80070520

EC2 AMI Sysprep IIS 7.5 SSL Certificate Error 0x80070520

Today I ran into IIS 7.5 SSL certificate binding error 0x80070520 after running sysprep to create a new bundled EC2 AMI. First I launched a Windows 2008 R2 instance from an official Amazon AMI, installed IIS and imported our wildcard SSL certificate to be used on future websites. Launched the ec2Config service and ran sysprep. Created a new AMI (image) of this instance, then launched a new instance based off this AMI. In IIS Manager, tried to edit the https binding of a site and got the … [Read more...]

IIS 7.5 .ASPX 401.3 – Unauthorized for IUSR Account

After installing all prerequisite dependencies and setting up a XenApp 6.5 Web Interface 5.4 on IIS 7.5, I was getting the error "401.3 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to an ACL set on the requested resource" whenever I tried to access the web interface front end using the default IUSR account for anonymous authentication. I tried every combination of troubleshooting I could think of: looked through IIS logs, changed the Anonymous Authentication credentials to use the Application pool … [Read more...]

Change SQL Server Name

If you've changed your Operating System hostname, you should reflect that change in SQL Server by updating the name in the Master database. SQL Server doesn't support updating the name when involved in database mirroring, replication, or clustered environments. You'll have to remove the feature, update the name, then re-add the feature.   … [Read more...]
